Christian Loans for Christians Only?

Is there such as a thing as Christian loans for Christian borrowers only? Short answer is yes, but not very common. There are some lenders and borrowers who would rather do business with other like-minded people who pray to the same God, worship the same God, carry out their life according a specific faith-based organized religion. We’ll dispense of any opinions regarding faith and religion here, and stick to the realities of personal financing and what it takes to get approved for a loan.

As you will notice, if you read further, is that some our “underwriters” have chosen to let their personal bias effect their writings.  See our terms for information on this contradiction.

Different Christian Loan Products

There many different loan products online and off-line for Christian borrowers and these include student loans for Christians, payday loans for Christians, general personal loans for Christians, high-risk loans for Christians, boat loans for Christians, home loans for Christians, installment loan for Christians, short-term loans for Christians, bad credit loans for Christians, and auto loans for Christians.

christianloansUnlike your typical bad credit loans, boat loans, or car loans, Christian financing types are managed the same way as any other kind of personal financing category. What comes into play is your credit score and what the different credit reporting agencies have to say about your history, and what kind of collateral or security you may have to put against the loan.

You must try to keep in mind that any financial institution or lender (bank) will have specific policies and specific criteria for who they give loans to and what kind of borrowers they are interested in lending to. All of the same rules apply what comes to final approval, how much you can borrow, and how quickly you can have the funds deposited into your bank account – usually your checking account.

You will have to give the lender all of your particulars so that they can make a decision about your financing quickly. The more information you can provide to the lender the faster you can be approved or disapproved, and the faster you will have the money deposited into your account. Of course, it all depends on the kind of loan product you are applying for and how many years and months you intend to be paying down below for. There are so many parameters involved that it is virtually impossible for a bank to give you a thumbs-up or thumbs down in short order. I am not suggesting that you can’t find a bank that will give you a so called instant loan but I am rather suggesting that is the loans are not very frequent and not something you should get your hopes pinned on.

Christian Loan Web Sites

Christianet.com

There are some web sites that cater specifically do Christian visitors in users and they have content that is very specific to financing. One that rings true to these criteria is Christianet, but they are similar too Lazerloan in that they only provide information and different ratings on the subject of financing and loans. They don’t actually provide loans and financing products directly from their web site, but instead they have advertising links throughout their articles that you can browse and possibly consider using to find your financing product of interest. The Christianet web site has content on almost every subject under the sun so don’t misunderstand me – their web site is not just specific to financing like this one.

Christian Faith Financial

Christian Faith Financial is another Christian financing web site but they are different in that they actually provide loans for borrowers. Keep in mind that Christian  Faith Financial provides short-term loans between $200 and $1500 and are actually providing a payday loan product that comes with the associated high interest fees and high closing fees (not to mention the extremely high penalty fees if you miss a payment on the loan). These kinds of loans are not the kinds of personal loans you want to be looking at, but more likely in installment loan is a better choice for you.

America’s Christian Credit Union

America’s Christian Credit Union provides personal loan products to the masses. They provide personal loans, car loans, adoption loans, recreational loans and Visa cards. They also provide RV loans (recreational vehicles, boats, motorcycles, motorhomes, etc.) and signature loans.

America’s Christian credit union has what I would call reasonable interest rates and true APR loan agreements. Just like any other lender you have to be aware of every clause and the lending agreement, but I would not ever suggest that America’s Christian credit union is the kind of lender that takes advantage of desperate borrowers.

Payday Lenders In Christian Clothing

christianpersonalloansThere are some payday loan providers who are like “wolves in sheep’s clothing”, or should I say a day lenders in Christian clothing. What they do is put up a web site that provides nothing more than the typical payday loan product or cash advance product with all of the high fees and high interest rates that come with that kind of loan.

They call themselves a Christian Company but in reality they are just using the Christian name to attract an audience of clients to their web site. A perfect example of one of these payday loan sites is Payday Loan Prayer. They blend religious images and different quotes from Scripture into their pages to attract Christians to their lending product, and whether they are actually Christians themselves is really not known.

What is known is that on their web site you will not find any information presented regarding their interest rates, fees, and penalty fees. Even in their terms of service you cannot dig up the actual rates or cost of lending information you need and there is a reason for this – this is of extremely expensive form of lending just like any other payday loan or cash advance product.

In reality there is no such thing as a Christian loan. The only difference is you may be borrowing from lenders who happen to be Christians like you’re, and that is arguable at best.

Our suggestion is to look for the most reputable lender you can find online or off-line, that has the most reasonable interest rates for your specific situation.
